Yard Projects
RiverLife Yard Mowing Team serves throughout the mowing season to help maintain lawns for our neighbors who are seniors or who are physically impaired. These are great projects to serve as an individual or family. Some projects listed below need additional cleanup with extra equipment.
#1 Yard Mow for Newnan Senior
Newnan senior off Roscoe Road. Equipment needed: 2 push mowers or 1 rider, weed-eater, hedge trimmers, loppers. If possible, 8ft. ladder for gutter cleanout.
#2 Yard Mow for Newnan Senior
Newnan senior in north Newnan, near B.T. Brown Reservoir. Equipment needed: 2 push mowers or 1 rider, weed-eater.
#3 Yard Mow, Gutters Cleaned for Newnan Senior

Newnan senior in Chalk-Level area. Equipment needed: 2 push mowers or 1 rider, weed-eater. 10ft. Ladder and blower to blow off roof and clean gutters.

Newnan senior off Millard Farmer Road. Equipment needed: 2 push mowers or 1 rider, weed-eater, hedge trimmers, loppers. If possible, pole saw for low branches.

Sharpsburg senior off of Baker Road. Equipment needed: 2-3 weed-eaters, hedge trimmers, loppers.
#9 Yard Maintenance/Cleanup for Grantville Senior
Senior in downtown Grantville needs large red tip bushes cut down and removed. Equipment needed: Chainsaws, truck/trailer to haul off.
#10 Yard Maintenance/Cleanup for Newnan Resident
Resident off of Smokey Road needs front and back yard mowing. Equipment needed: mower, weed-eater, hedge trimmers, loppers.
#11 Yard Maintenance/Cleanup for Newnan Senior
Senior in Chalk-level needs yard mowing. Equipment needed: mower, weed-eater, hedge trimmers, loppers.
#12 Yard Maintenance/Cleanup for Newnan Veteran
Resident off of Jackson St. needs front and back yard mowing. Equipment needed: mower, weed-eater, hedge trimmers, loppers.
Home Repair/Building Projects
These individuals and families need help with home repair. RiverLife can provide leadership for your team of volunteers. Additional projects are currently being assessed and will be available soon!
Wheelchair Ramp Builds for seniors in need
Grantville, Newnan, Senoia, and Sharpsburg
These ramps are needed for safe access to the home. Usually, ramps can be completed by a team of 4-5 people in 1 day (6 hours).
Porch Rebuild for a Local Senior
Newnan (Off Cedar Creek)
This project is for a senior in need of safe access to her back door. This is a tear-down, rebuild-to the same footprint. It will take a team of 6-8 people 1 day (6 hours) to complete.
Step/Handrail Repairs for a Local Resident
Newnan
This local resident is in need of step and handrail repairs. Replacing treads and 2x4 handrails. It should take 2 people a half day.
Handrails/Grab-bars for 2 local residents
Grantville, Newnan
Two separate seniors are in need of handrails and grab bars installed in their home. Each should take 2 people a half day. Both homeowners have materials on site. Need appropriate tools to install.
